Thanks to the C.E.C (Children’s Education Charity) recently a new Primary School was built in a village called Ashkasham located in the Badakhshan Province, Afghanistan to support the needs and education of middle school children affected by the earthquake that occurred on the 10th of April, 2016.
This earthquake killed at least 4 people and destroyed many homes and schools leaving many families devastated, injured and homeless. As soon as the C.E.C (Children's Education Charity) in Australia heard about this natural disaster and how many children's schools had been damaged, they acted straight away.
The C.E.C launched a website on the 13th of April that people could donate money for the cause. This plan worked perfectly as by the 2nd of August they had earned enough money to start the build of the primary school. Overall they earned $52, 371 and they spent around $50, 000 on the build. The rest of the donation money was donated to families that had been effected by the earthquake. The C.E.C has raised all the money that was used to build a primary school located in the west-southwest of Ashkasham. A special thanks to Mary Lowe who was the director and manager of the build/fundraise.
